This project focuses on book covers created for self-published fiction. The goal was to visually communicate tone, genre, and narrative themes while remaining compatible with both print-on-demand and digital formats. The following examples are conceptual, intended to demonstrate the artist's attention to design principles.
Design choices were guided by genre expectations and intended audience. This hypothetical example is a cheerful, old-fashioned fiction romance, alluding to a 50s aesthetic and a sunny, "golden Hollywood" color scheme. It was developed alongside typographic and layout decisions, with attention to readability at thumbnail size as well as full print resolution.
This project combines visual storytelling with practical production constraints. Select elements of this piece were created using licensed stock photography, which was edited and integrated to support the final design.
